Sunday Smoothie: Mango Coconut Milk with lemon

The habit of making smoothies every Sunday, for 8 weeks now, feels very good. Last couple of weeks we had a lot of social events like dinners and parties on saturdays. And most of the time we say to each other that we will go home early and don’t drink too much;-). Mostly with the drinks we are doing fine, at least one of us has to drive home, and the other one doesn’t want to be a total wreck the next day. Haha but specially the late nights are a real killjoy on Sunday. So drinking Smoothies makes me feel better and more healthy and makes me forget my low energy levels. And if the smoothies are so nice as today’s Sunday Smoothie, Yummie. Read further about this Mango Coconut milk smoothie.

In the last few weeks I learned that Coconut is one of my favorite ingredients for a Smoothie. I made a strawberry Colada, which was very good. And the Pina Colada cocktail that I made for Photos for foodies, is also one of my favorite cocktails! The coconut flavour always reminds me of some nice vacations and tropical beaches. So I loved it when I found the Mango coconut smoothie on the internet. M. became a smoothie lover too since we started with the Sunday Smoothies, he now helps me every sunday to make the smoothies.

And as you can see on the picture above, M. is also willing to help with the pictures;-). Todays recipe is again an easy one. You have to clean the Mango. And don’t forget to use Coconut milk and not Coconut water.
For the ice cubes, I used around 10 ice cubes, which I crushed in a towel, so my blender won’t die on me. The Lemon juice gives the smoothie a fresh taste, but be careful, if your mango is not so sweet, don’t use too much lemon juice, otherwise it will be too sour.

Sunday Smoothie: Mango Coconut Milk with lemon

With Mango and coconut milk, you have a great Smoothie for warm days. The taste is great and it’s healthy too.
Servings 1


  • Blender


  • 1 Mango
  • 60 ml Coconut milk
  • 10 icecubes
  • lemon juice of 1 lemon


  • Peel the Mango and cut it in small pieces.
  • Put the Mango pieces with the coconut milk and the lemon in the Blender.
  • Crush the icecubes and put them also in the blender
  • Mix everytjing until you have a smooth mix.
  • Put the mix into a glass.
  • The Smoothie is finished!
