Fish restaurant Purunchi Koredor Curacao

The pro of having family on the island is that they take you sometimes to the nicest places and restaurants of the island. Last week the niece of Martin’s mother brought us to some great beaches on the western side of the island. Last Saturday we went with her to a really nice fish restaurant in Willemstad, named Purunchi Koredor.

Hotspot: Restaurant Elements, Cala Benirras Ibiza

On Ibiza you have so many nice restaurants, some in the little villages or in Eivissa city and some on the beach. When we visited Cala Benirras, to see the famous drum players (see my blog about the drum players on Goodlives), we were too early. We thought too early in the season, but later we found out too early for sunset;-). So we decided to have some dinner on the beach at restaurant Elements. Read further about this restaurant.

DIY: Coasters made of iron beads

In our garden we have a very nice garden seat with a teak table. The table is untreated. Very happy with the furniture, only the table looks so shitty sometimes because of the circles made by wet glasses. So I have been looking for nice coasters everywhere, but haven’t found them yet.
But in the summer, we’re using the table all the time, so desperately needed a temporarily solution this summer. That’s why I came on the idea of making coasters of iron beads.
It’s a very nice DIY project and while making the coasters I got one idea after another.
In the mean time I found out that coasters of iron beads are not a total solution. Because of the small holes in the beads, fluids can still go through. But it makes it a little bit better and for hot mugs it works good.
Beside that they look really great on my garden table;-)

Hotspot: Amante beach club Ibiza

M.’s brother and his wife tried to go to Amante beach club twice, and both of the times it was closed because of a wedding or a party or something. It made me curious about the beach club Amante in Ibiza. They say this is a hidden spot, very nice and with a beautiful view on the bay of Sol d’en Serra. So with our third visit to Ibiza, it was high on our to do list. Do you also want to see more of this beautiful spot? Read further

Hot Spot: The Harbour Club Ibiza

Edit: Unfortunately The Harbour Club Ibiza is closed since Summer 2016. Their sister club next to the Harbour club is still open, but we haven’t been there yet

Two years ago, our first time to Ibiza, I received a list with hotspots from one of my colleagues, Lilly. She is a regular visitor of Ibiza and she nows a lot of nice hotspots on Ibiza. Always nice to have such colleagues;-).
One of the hotspots on the list was the Harbour Club Ibiza. She told us that they just opened and that the son of one of her friends was the new manager there. We had a busy time on the island, saw a lot of nice places, and vacation was almost over. So on one of the last days I said to M. that there was a hotspot left on the list of Lilly that I wanted to visit for dinner. The Harbour Club Ibiza is one of the restaurants of the Harbour Club group. Read more about this hotspot.

Playmobil Painting

In 2014 I didn’t make a lot of paintings, because I had to study a lot. But there is one painting that I would really like to show you. Most people know Playmobil and a lot of you even have played with it when they were young.
Since I have a son of 2 years old, slowly more and more toys are winning space in our house.
So one day I saw an advertorial from Playmobil and an idea popped into my head. I would make a Playmobil painting/piece of Art.
I took a canvas and started painting 11 different coloured strokes on the canvas.
In the meantime I went to our attic to find the few Playmobil dolls M. had when he was younger (haha he didn’t know I did that, because of course he wouldn’t give me permission to use them). He only had 10 or 12 so basically nothing (I already counted that I needed at least 300 dolls).
