A couple of weeks ago I gave you the recipe for a Focaccia bread. A focaccia bread is nice to eat with soup or with other meals as a sidedish.
But you can also make a focaccia sandwich of it, for lunch or for dinner. Of course you can buy a Focaccia for this recipe, only in the village where I live, I couldn’t find one, so that’s why I started baking my own Focaccia. And I think the ones you bake yourself are most of the time a lot more tastier than the ones you buy in the stores.
Sunday Smoothie: Banana Strawberry
I tasted a lot of smoothies the last couple of weeks, but it didn’t prevented me from getting an awful cold that I have since a few days.
But of course that’s not so strange. Fruit can help you to stay healthy, but it’s not some kind of miracle. But I still like to make smoothies so I definitely will keep the Sunday Smoothie serie.
This time we tested the Banana Strawberry Smoothie for Cakes and Pumps. This Banana Strawberry Smoothie is so easy to make. And the taste is great.
Cocktail Friday: a Mai Tai
Last week we had the Mojito for Cocktail Friday, this Friday we drink a Mai Tai. A Mai Tai is also a cocktail that you drink with rum. Haha you can easily see that I prefer rum as cocktail mixing drink;-). But the next cocktail will be one without rum, I promiss.
In a Mai Tai you put white and brown rum, but for the rest you have many different versions of the Mai Tai.
White asparagus with eggs, ham and potatoes
White asparagus. They call them the white gold, since the taste is so good. In reality you like them a lot or you don’t like them at all. There doesn’t seem to be a way in between.
I like them a lot and luckily M. too. And when the season starts, we eat these vegetables at least one time in a week.
In Holland we can buy the green ones the whole year, but the white ones (the real dutch ones) are only in the stores or at the farms from the end of March to the beginning of June.
Sunday Smoothie: Pear raspberry smoothie
Sunday Smoothie time again, this time we have a Pear raspberry smoothie. I always call all the mixes with fruit a smoothie, but since I’m searching for smoothies for my blogs I found out that you have different kind of fruit drinks.

Weekend and time for Cocktail Friday!
Since it’s almost Kingsday here in Holland (Monday 27th of April), I wanted to mix an orange cocktail this time. With a little search in one of my Mix books, I found an Orange Plantation. Wednesday all the bottles for this Cocktail Friday came in and yesterday we pre-tested the cocktail.
I expected the Dry Orange to be a little more orange, so a little bit disappointed, since I wanted to make an orange one and it looks a little bit more brownish now.
Sunday Smoothie: Mango Banana Smoothie
Sunday morning is a good day to drink some smoothies. I’m not such a fruit eater. It’s not that I don’t like fruit, but most of the time I just forget to eat it. I always buy our fruit at the supermarket, M. Loves fruit and also Larsman seems to have the genes of his father. They both love mango’s a lot. So for today a Mango Banana smoothie.

The year is over so fast this year, less than two weeks and it’s Christmas 2016 already. This year I don’t feel like putting too much Christmas decorations. I always try to make something for Christmas, but I’m a little tired. All the work for my masterthesis cost me a lot of energy.
So i only made a couple corners with Christmas decorations which were easy to pick from the attick or that I bought this year. I you read further you can find some pictures of the Christmas corner in our house for Christmas 2016.
A new warm blanket with pattern to knit (#DIY)
In winter I always like it to sit on the couch, watching tv and at the same time knitting or crocheting a blanket. Mostly I’m working on a couple of projects and it’s sometimes not easy to really finish a blanket. The knitting is not the problem, but after that all the loose ends need to be fixed in the blanket. And I really don’t like that. And I also want to share the blankets with you here on my blog. For now I have two plaids (with this one) finished to blog about and two blankets that need some loose-ends-work and also writing a blog about. And two new ones are on their way, which more than halfway with the knitting part. Oeps a lot of work to do then (while I first have to work on my Master Thesis to get that finished too).
