Hotspot: Restaurant Elements, Cala Benirras Ibiza

On Ibiza you have so many nice restaurants, some in the little villages or in Eivissa city and some on the beach. When we visited Cala Benirras, to see the famous drum players (see my blog about the drum players on Goodlives), we were too early. We thought too early in the season, but later we found out too early for sunset;-). So we decided to have some dinner on the beach at restaurant Elements. Read further about this restaurant.

The thing is, we didn’t make any reservations, and Elements looked quite full. But we were lucky, in half an hour they would have some seats for us, and they had a lounge corner empty were we could spend our waiting time. As you can see on the photo below,  with view from the lounge corner, a small part of Elements is with roof and the rest of the restaurant is outside.

After half an hour they had our table ready and we could order some nice plates. We almost all ordered the grilled fish mix, but they also had meat and vegetarian dishes. And with the fish mix we also ordered a delicious humus with bread. The food looks great and it also tasted super, it’s mostly mediterean.  The Chef of the restaurant is Pep Herrero from Barcelona, never heard of him before, but that doesn’t matter.

The food was great, only the service could have been better. The waitress was seriously rude to my mother-in-law when she asked something about the food. And when M. asked the owner if someone could give us a hand to move a parasol for Larsman, because he had too much sun on his part of the table, they came to help us. But it was that same waitress who was helping by just moving a parasol from another table, without asking those other guests. While we saw another parasol, which was standing alone and doing nothing for anyone. So a little strange, but it was only one waitress. But don’t stay away for that, because the food is absolutely worth going there. haha maybe that waitress is not even working there anymore at this time.

If you want to go to this restaurant, you’d better make reservations, specially when you want to go there on sundays when the drum players are playing. Restaurant Elements

Edit: This is a post from my old Blog Photos for foodies. I quit with this Blog, but it didn’t feel good to lose all the recipes, that’s why I copied all the posts to Cakes and Pumps and later to Goodlives. This post is written in 2015 by myself.
