Cocktail Friday: a Mai Tai

Mai Tai cocktail for Cocktail Friday. Mai Tai is created in 1944 and is made with rum, Orange Curacao, Grenadine, Orgeat Syrup and Lime Juice.

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail Shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 2 parts White rum
  • 2 parts Black rum
  • 1 part Orange Curacao I used Bols Dry Orange
  • 1 part Lemonjuice
  • 1 table spoon of Orgeat Syrup
  • 1 table spoon of grenadine
  • Crushed Ice-Cubes
  • Cocktail Cherries
  • Pineapple Wedges

Instructions
 

  • Mix the white rum, Brown rum, Orange curacao, the lemonjuice, the grenadine and the Orgeat Syrup and the (cracked) ice-cubes in a cocktailshaker.
  • Fill the glasses with the Cocktail mix.
  • After that put a slice of pinapple on the edge of the glass, some cocktai cherries on a cocktail pick or in your glass, and your cocktail is ready.
  • They also add Orange Rind to the Mai Tai, but I didn’t do that.
